Pussy Control

Hi there- My name is Jessica and I absolutely love cats!  I have been caring for a colony for 9+ years.  I wanted to reach out to like-minded people, help others begin managing colonies of their own, offer assistance with spay/neuter vouchers, purchasing cat food, and helpful resources in the community.  To do this, I started my own non-profit "Pussy Control."

Pussy Control is a 501c3 organization helping to control the feral cat population by utilizing TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) Sociable cats and kittens are found safe and loving homes. The wilder bunch is fed daily, provided fresh water, and monitored for any necessary medical attention.

Pussy Control also wishes to educate others on the benefits of TNR, offer assistance and resources to other colony caretakers,  and teach pet owners the importance of spaying and neutering pets.

We love TNR, but we prefer TNA....  Trap Neuter and Adopt  There is nothing like opening your home and heart to a cat in need.

About Pussy Control and TNR

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR)  is a humane and effective approach for the management of  stray and feral cats.  TNR improves the lives of feral cats, the communities which they reside, and effectively decreases the pet population over time.  TNR has been successfully implemented in numerous communities, cats are humanely trapped and taken to a veterinarian to be spayed or neutered and properly vaccinated. Cats are then returned to their colony once they have recovered.  Kittens/cats who have become socialized with continued human interaction have the potential to be adopted into a home.

TNR is a scientifically proven method of stopping the breeding cycle of cats and thereby improving their lives while avoiding reproduction. It is a fact that the capture and killing of outdoor cats, which has been pursued by animal control for decades, is never-ending and ineffective. Feral cats are destroyed in pounds and shelters because they are un-adoptable. It's hard to imagine that, with a program like TNR readily available, animal control organizations continue to kill animals, despite the fact that this strategy has yielded no results.   It's well past time to put an end to the practice of catching and killing. For these adorable, independent cats, trap-neuter-release is a life-saving, easy solution.

The benefits of TNR to both cats and the communities are many, the primary benefit being TNR lowers the numbers of cats in the community more effectively than trap-and-kill.  Other benefits include fewer shelter admissions, resulting in decreased operating costs.  By reducing the number of unvaccinated cats, we will create safer neighborhoods and improve public health.  TNR improves the quality of life for free-roaming cats. Males who have been neutered are less likely to battle for mates and territory.  Females are no longer forced to endure multiple pregnancies and the physical demands of birthing and caring for their litter.  Sterilizing community cats reduces or even eliminates the behaviors that can lead to nuisance complaints.

We cant save them all, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Every donation helps!

As a 501c3 your donation is tax deductable!

Better yet, your donation is going to help spay/neuter an unaltered cat.

Reduce the feral/stray population, and help feed homeless cats.

We cant save them all, but it doesn't mean we shouldn't try.

Thank Mew!

Notice the ear tip?  Colony cats who have undergone TNR will have their ears tipped to show they have already been spayed/neutered and vaccinated.
